Announcing our new Language Director!

Happy Fall everyone! We’ve had a busy summer and we have a lot of new projects coming out in the next few months. But first, we are so happy to share that we have a new member of our team! Kehte Deer is from Six Nations of the Grand River where he lives with his wife and daughters. He belongs to the Bear Clan and the Mohawk Nation. He is joining SI as our Language Director and as one of his first projects, he has written the first in a series of Cayuga language books. Please join us in welcoming Kehte to our team! 

We had an unofficial launch of the first book in our new Cayuga language series last week when we presented at the Professional Development Day for the educators of the Six Nations Community and the book is now available through our website :). Check it out in our store today!
